The proper use of anti-aging products can help reduce the signs of the ravages of time on your face. Here are some tips on the appropriate beauty routine that can help you look younger and fresher.

Use an eye cream. The initial signs of aging usually manifest themselves around the eyes as crow s feet, fine lines, dark circles and eye bags. You can help firm the skin around the eyes by using an eye cream. Place a tiny dab of the cream on the tip of your finger then rub it slowly around your eye, starting near the tear duct and ending at the upper corner. Pat the area repeatedly to ensure the cream is fully absorbed into the skin.

Use at-home peels on hands. As you grow older, fine lines may appear on the surface of your hands. You can combat these by applying peels to help remove dead skin and help speed the growth of new skin that will make your hands look smoother and wrinkles less noticeable.

Replenish moisture with a night cream. Night cream can help restore lost moisture while you sleep. Start by gently cleaning your skin using a mild facial wash, washing in circular motions. Let your face dry before applying the night cream. Following the directions on the box, apply the cream with your fingertips, gently rubbing it into the skin and ensuring it is distributed uniformly.

Reduce laugh lines using anti-wrinkle cream. Lines around the mouth are an inevitable part of growing old. However, you can slow down their development by using an anti-aging wrinkle cream containing hyaluronic acid, a naturally-occurring substance that helps regulate cell growth and renewal, or madecassoside (an anti-inflammatory which also stimulates the growth of collagen).

Clean your face with an anti-oxidant product. Free radicals are one of the main causes of aging since they cause cell damage. You can help get rid of free radicals by washing your face with a mild cleanser with an anti-oxidant ingredient. Start by washing your hands before you clean your face. Then take a dab of cleanser on your fingertip and rub it all over your face gently, ensuring that it is spread evenly. Let stay for a while then wash it off using water at a lukewarm temperature.

Lighten age spots with bleach. Another sign of aging are so-called liver spots, dark spots that appear on the hands. You can make these spots less noticeable by bleaching them with an agent containing hydroquinone, an ingredient that helps inhibit the production of melanin, the pigment that gives the spots their color.

Cover up using anti-aging foundation. The right liquid foundation not only hides the signs of aging, it also provides anti-aging benefits with an anti-oxidant ingredient. Use a primer on your face before putting on the foundation. Place a tiny amount of the foundation on your finger and apply it using tiny motions to ensure the makeup is distributed evenly. Then use a sponge to ensure the foundation is blended correctly.
