It should be noted that whatever method you choose to watch TV online you re not necessarily limited to watching the programs from your computer but can view them on your TV. All you need is an HDMI or VGA cable, depending on which is supported by your set, which you will use to connect your computer to your TV. For better results, it is recommended that you use an HDMI cable, which most new TVs will have a plug for. However, not all computers may have an HDMI plug so you may need to buy an adapter if your PC does not have one. Of course, you will also need a reliable Internet connection with fast speeds and a high download limit to ensure smooth streaming or fast downloading of programs.

Before subscribing to a streaming or downloading site, check out the free-to-view sites first since you may be able to view all the programs you want on them in exchange for watching a commercial. If you want to subscribe to a site that allows you to watch TV online make sure that it charges you only a one-time fee that allows you to unrestricted viewings for a certain period, with no hidden fees and no per-episode fees.
