Billiards is one of the more popular games played all over the world. It is played by anyone of any age - i.e., young, old or middle-aged. It is also played by people from all walks of life. May they be rich, poor or belonging to the middle class, billiards is still popular.

Young people are fond of playing billiards. In some countries, especially in developing countries, billiards tables can be found near schools. They can be found near schools because students love sneaking out of their classes to go to the places where billiards tables. This is a bad thing in schools that authorities are trying to regulate . But the point is, even kids find playing billiards entertaining enough to get addicted to it and cut classes.

Middle-aged people are also a group that is fond of playing billiards. This is why in bars, a usual picture is a place filled with booze, with a darts board on one corner, and billiards tables on some parts. Playing billiards is not a fast-paced game. It can be played at one's own momentum . It does not have to be played at a specific time limit or at a particular schedule. Anyone can play it, begin shooting, finish it or not finish it. The game demands a little effort and a little energy. The players, depending on them, can even opt that they do not put their minds to it. Meaning they will just play it to have fun without minding the rules or the mechanics. The fun is in the shooting so regardless of whether someone actually shoots it into a pocket or not, the purpose is achieved. The best combination for billiards tables in bars are booze or beer and cigarettes. If a person goes to bars, this is easily noted as a common picture of the inside of it.

Old people also love playing billiards. Reason for this is that the game does not require that one exerts effort. If it be measured, shooting a ball into a pocket required the minimum amount of energy and effort from a person. The only things that he has to be able to accomplish is bending his body because billiards tables are often at the waste level of a person, have the eyes to see the target ball, and have that eye coordinated to his hand so that when he shoots it, the ball would enter the pocket. Old people love billiards. It is way for them to socialize. With a scotch on one hand and cigar on the other, they wait for their turn to make a hit while socializing with their opponent.

Billiards is a game for rich and poor. The distinction only lies at where the billiard table is. For the poor, it is in the bar or in an area where there is a fee for the use of it. For the rich, the table is inside a mansion where only the rich can enter and play while talking about the latest business gossip.
